Job Interviews 101
It’s that dream job of yours; the one place where you dream of walking at everyday, that desk you will decorate, and those co-workers who will teach you the tricks of the trade. You are one step away from announcing to everyone your new job: you have to get past the job interview.
What is a job interview for? It’s for your future employer to get to know you personally; yet it is also your chance to show what you are capable of in a better way. This can go both ways: you can prove that the job is really meant for you, and vice versa; or you can also lose your chance in nailing this ideal job of yours.
It is helpful to remember that job interviews are not meant to give you a hard time, pressure you, and make you feel uncomfortable. Keep in mind that this is a wonderful opportunity for you and your future employer, or just one staff in the company, to get to know each other. You will be able to show the interviewer what you are capable of, and at the same time, get to know the company much better.
The interviewer will be asking you questions, but that doesn’t mean you can’t ask one yourself. See this as an opportunity for you to clarify things about the job or the company. Don’t attempt to interview your interviewer, though; remember that you are there to show them that you are worth hiring and that you are capable.
